Aug 2-5 Back in Salmon, Idaho; Goldbug Hot Springs

We made our way back up along Idaho Hwy 93 and stopped over at Lou and Ama's place again. (See entry June 22nd) One early morning, they took us on a short hike into a gorgeous valley up to the Goldbug hot springs.
Hiking along :-)

The hot springs were the nicest ones I had ever been in because first of all they did not smell like rotten eggs and the hot water did not just run into the pools but actually fell out of the mountain side in the form of a little water fall, surrounded by beautiful wild flowers. The hot springs consist of several cascading pools, all of which offer a stunning view towards the front of the valley. Below is my lovely water princess sister Tabea :-) THANKS FOR COMING OUT ALL THIS WAY TO VISIT US! THANKS FOR DRIVING US AROUND AND BEING SO COOL!!!!! LOVE YA SIS!

Ama and I. THANKS LOU AND AMA FOR SHOWING US THE HOT SPRINGS AND, ONCE AGAIN, FOR YOUR AMAZING HOSPITALITY. TAKE CARE!!!

We spent our last day in Salmon at Kathy's house. She is the lady who had invited us to share her booth at the local farmers market the first time we passed through town. We got the chance go sell more cards at her booth this time and then she invited us over to stay at her house. In the picture below we are chilling at her "private" beach near her house. Despite the low water levels, we had great fun tubing down a stretch of the little river while tipping over a few times and swallowing a couple mouthfuls of water. Great fun! I even got a leech on my leg! Luckily it was easy to remove. Kinda cool and really gross at the same time.

Not the best shot, unfortunately, but this is dinner time at Kathy and John's house. Just GREAT! THANK YOU KATHY AND JOHN FOR HAVING US. IT WAS A WONDERFUL TREAT TO SPEND TIME WITH YOU AT YOUR AMAZING HOME! ALL THE BEST TO YOU!!!

On an evening stroll I came across this handsome fisherman down by the river. Could not help but snap a shot :-)

My apologies for the incorrect orientation of this picture but I hope you can still find the quote inspiring. It is a card I found in Kathy's kitchen. A friend of hers had sent it to her. Lovely, isn't it?!

Good bye Salmon, we will be back!!!
