Thank God it was overcast when we climbed up Lost Trail Pass into Montana. In the library in Stevensville we met Anna. She is a very outgoing, lovely woman who invited us to stay at her house. We plopped down on the couch and she continually brought us food of all kinds and beer while we got our Summer Olympics fix in front of her TV. Then we just hung out and chatted. ANNA, THANKS SO MUCH FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY!!!! ALL THE VERY BEST TO YOU!!!!
She also loaded us up with food and all kinds of supplies to the point where we could hardly close our paniers. Wow, what a treat. THANK YOU THANK YOU ANNA!
Emergency flower photography stop! Aren't they gorgeous!!!? I have never seen these before!
Whitefish, Montana:
New shoes for my trusty Bicyclette. New Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires on the front and back!!! Tire wires here we come!!!
By the Whitefish Bike Shop we met Rob from the UK. Since we had nothing else to do we just hung out with him for the entire afternoon and chatted. He is currently cycling the Continental Divide Trail down to New Mexico. NICE TO MEET YOU, ROB. HAVE A GREAT RIDE!
