Oct. 2 - 4 Ottawa

After our stay in Brighton we rode through Kingston and then up to Ottawa. The fall colours were just stunning along the way!

We arrived in Ottawa around noon and were super hungry. We had decided to have a bite to eat at the Parliament building but James spotted an all you can eat sushi restaurant as we were riding through Chinatown = Immediate Stop! We had a fantastic lunch followed by an ice cream dessert! all for $19 ea.

In front of the Parliament building. Unfortunately we could not go inside at the time but just looking at it from the outside the building is a stunning work of art.

Close ups of the carvings at the main entrance.

Rideau Canal Waterway locks. The bridge in the background leads over to Gatineau, Quebec.

I just love nice iron work and there was plenty of it in Ottawa!!!

This evening we stayed with our friend Sharon who we had met in Sault St. Marie a few weeks ago. She took us out for an ammmmaaaazing dinner at a nearby Italian Restaurant. Her son and his girlfriend joined us too and we had a great evening together.

THANKS SAM FOR THE GREAT TIME AND YOUR HOSPITALITY. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR STAY IN OTTAWA!!! HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOMETIME.
