Once it got hot we stopped for a break at a gas station. We were going to sit on the curb but the two young attendants waved us over to some chairs and tables. Kristjan spoke good English and ensured us we wont have to buy anything in order to sit by the tables. Very kind! But we could not resist getting two bottles of local beer for 100 Lek each (equivalent of about $1 CAD). Not bad, eh!
We ended up hanging out with those guys and their friends, who came for visits and to use the free wifi, all afternoon. One of them took it upon himself to make sure our water bottles never ran dry.
Next to the gas station, a large restaurant /wedding venue was under construction and Kristjan said we were more than welcome to sleep in there overnight. He had let some other travelers camp in there not long ago. Perfect!
Before we set up for the night, Kristjan and another station attendant wanted to try riding my bike. Hahaha, so funny.
