April 25 evening

As previously mentioned, the 25th is a national holiday so the roads were crazy. Everybody was out and about. After sight seeing, we tried to get away from Venice as fast as possible to get back out into the quieter countryside but traffic just would not calm down. So, at one point we were so exhausted that when a friendly looking lady waved at us from her garden we promptly asked if we could camp in her field and get away from this crazy road. No problem.
We ended up having a super fun evening with the family. Daughter Martina and her friend spoke very good English so communication was easy. I even got to have Martina's parrot sit on my arm.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU FOR YOUR KINDNESS AND FRIENDSHIP. HOPE TO SEE YOU AGAIN SOMETIME.
