Dec. 27- Jan. 1- Los Angeles part 2

Susan lives near the tar pits by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art so one afternoon we took a stroll over there. It was amazing to see these puddles of smelly tar bubbling away in the middle of this big city.
Just around the corner is this interesting art display of a giant boulder straddling an underpass.

Just around the corner is the "urban lights" assemblage. It consists of a dense cluster of 202 street lights form the 1920's -1930's. Very pretty in the dark.

One day Stephen's sister came over and we all went for lunch at a lovely cafe. Such good food!!! Yay quinoa salad!

Another highlight of our stay in LA was the champagne and cheese with crackers night in the Hollywood Hills, one of Susan's great ideas. She is a very fun loving lady and since she was currently responsible for feeding the cats for some friend's of hers in the Hollywood Hills, she thought it would be fun to turn her cat-feeding duty into a little party at this cute house. It was lovely sitting on the porch with candles all around and watching the helicopters flying around the LA night sky. Following this appetizer was a delicious dinner at the Italian Cafe Verona. Wow, what a treat!!!
