When we got to Beyneu around mid day we stopped to say hello to the family who had hosted James two years ago. They invited us in immediately.
After we drank several bowls of tea Ghengis Khan style, Nurjigit took us to the two Kazakh culture and history museums in town and the cultural center where a traditional music rehearsal was in progress. One of the musicians sang a welcome song for us. His improvised lyrics must have been very funny because people around us where laughing.
