David told us about a nice little hike nearby along which one can see historic petroglyphs. He said we are welcome to stay another night if we wanted to and that he would also come on the petroglyph hike with us. It was a very beautiful walk through this rocky landscape which sees only about 4 inches of rain per year. How can these plants survive!? The trail followed an old creek bed and eventually we got to a slope with larger rocks on which we found several petroglyphs. Some were more distinct than others but the one in the picture was my favorite.
THANK YOU DAVID AND BARBARA FOR THE EXCELLENT HOSPITALITY. WE REALLY ENJOYED GETTING TO KNOW YOU A BIT AND THE PETROGLYPH WALK WAS A REAL TREAT. ALL THE BEST!
