From Boulder City we got to follow on a beautifully paved
cycling path for most of the way to Las Vegas. There we got to stay with
another Warmshowers host who made us very welcome and said we can stay as long
as we want. Since we were not in a huge rush we opted for two nights. Laureanne
had shelves and shelves filled with books which we became more interested in
than the city of Vegas. Her house was not that far away from the famous strip
but too far for us to want to ride there in the dark (which is when the strip
is most interesting) and we did not feel like taking the bus so we just hung
out at the house and read and had interesting conversations about diet and
politics. I guess this was a rather unusual visit to Vegas but for us just
right. We also had a lot of fun doing
physical fitness tests on the Wii with Eloise. She is such a character.
