July 2- One more day in Denizli

Ali with his favorite little niece, Zeynep.

While James was busy making phone calls, sending emails and stuff, Müzeyyen, Ali's mom, and I had tea on the balcony together accompanied by my trusty English-Turkish dictionary. A little while later Isik and little Zeynep and Fevzi came over again. They were intrigued by my Turkish word list and were keen on learning the English equivalents of the words. Wow, if I could get such language immersion every day I would be fluent in no time.
In the afternoon we went to visit Ali at his mobile phone repair shop. By the looks of it, business is going well for him :-) There we also met his cousin Fatih who studies at the university in Sarajevo, Bosnia, and just returned to Turkey for the summer holidays.
Some of Ali's friends came over for dinner that evening and Müzeyyen and Isik once again prepared a fantastic meal: Chorba, bulgur, beans in a red sauce, menemen (like a egg omelette with veggies) and lots of Yufka bread. So tasty.
