I really enjoyed Bursa because it has a lot of beautiful attractions to visit but does not have the touristy feel of Istanbul.
We visited the Green Tomb of Osman the First, founder of the Ottoman dynasty. The tomb is decorated with some lovely Ottoman tile work.
Next to it is the green mosque. Nice but nothing overly amazing.
Our final stop was at the Ulu Camii (the great mosque). It is a huge building with a fountain in the middle, red carpet and mostly black and white arabic scripts for decoration on the walls. I found it quite beautiful. Mosques also seem to be a favorite place for kids to play tag and roll around on the huge carpeted floor while their parents are praying.
