June - 15 Bursa Hampton by Hilton

It was a short 30 km ride into Bursa this morning. The weather decided to bless us with some rain along the way so when we rolled our dripping bikes into the foyer at the fancy new Hampton Hotel they both left a wet trail on the clean tiles. The most friendly and accomodating staff there ensured us that it was no problem.

Unfortunately the bikes were not allowed to stay in the room with us but they were given their own spot in a locked luggage room which was fine.

And now to our room. This kind lady who had invited us, Livsa was her name, really has a kind heart. We got a corner suite on the 8th floor, on the coffee table was an beautifully arranged fruit bowl, a dish with three pralines and two wine glasses with a nice bottle of Turkish wine. Dinner and buffet breakfast was also included in our invitation. About half hour after we had moved in a girl dropped of a letter of welcome at our room. Wow! This really is a fancy place.

It is so amazing to experience how God periodically showers us with treats like these, just to remind us that eventhough some days are a bit rough, he is still in control and can shower us with more abundance than we can ever dream of. The hard days are essential too though because without them, special treats like a free night at a hotel, would lose their charm.
