(June 9th update) Cheescake Improvisation in Istanbul

There were only a few days left until our friend Tevfik's birthday and we really wanted to make him something birthdayish and delicious. He had no oven in his apartment so baking a cake was out of the question. Two days before the birthday we decided on a non-bake cheese cake. The first question was what to put it in.

After some experimenting with a large yogurt tub we came up with a workable system using the lid and the top ring of the tub.

The base. Made with crushed Graham-cracker-like bisquits

Crushing sugar cubes to make a coarse version of icing sugar

Smear on the creamy goodness (with a bit of Nescafe powder) and chocolate crumbles

Adding the final touch.
